2012 Eagle & Badge Gala

2012 Eagle & Badge Foundation Gala - October 6th at the JW Marriott Los Angeles @ LA Live.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Chief Charlie Beck were on hand to welcome over 800 guests at the Los Angeles Police Protective League's Eagle & Badge Foundation's 11th Anniversary Eagle & Badge Gala. Elisabeth Harnois (CSI) and Frank Mottek (KNX Radio's Business Anchor) hosted the evening and kept everything running smoothly.

Five community leaders were recognized for their contributions: Chief Beck presented our "In the Line of Duty - Legacy Award" to the one and only Sylvester Stallone. Mayor Villaraigosa honored philanthropist Kareem Ahmed. District Attorney Steve Cooley was honored by newly elected DA Jackie Lacey. Robert M. Hertzberg made the presentation to Mickey Kantor and LAPPL Board member John Mumma honored Gregory Smith. E&B President Peter Repovich made a special presentation to Arthur M. Kassel, recognizing his 11 years of support as President and as Event Chair/Exec Producer of the annual galas.

The evening once again included fabulous silent and live auctions; Frank Stallone and his band entertained during dinner, and Taylor Dayne rocked the house to end the evening.

Special thanks to everyone who sponsored, attended, donated or purchased auction items, participated in advance and on stage, and to all the LAPD officers with the LAPD Experience and the volunteers and delegates who helped out at the event.
