Eagle & Badge Foundation Plays Key Role in Relay for Life
The Eagle & Badge Foundation is proud to support LAPD officers who participate in raising money for cancer research
Relay for Life is more than just a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to get together with family and friends and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and fight back against this disease. With the help of the Eagle & Badge Foundation, LAPD officers have taken part in this inspirational event that takes place over 12 hours in many communities.
Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length. LAPD officers have fun while raising much-needed funds to fight cancer and raise awareness of cancer prevention and treatment.
