Eagle & Badge Foundation recently approved contributions for August 2010

• $1,000 to the Valley Traffic Advisory Council Golf Tournament - “Still Saving Lives Golf Classic” is their biggest fund raiser. This is where most of the funds come from to help in providing the Valley Traffic Division with the much needed supplies and materials each year needed for helping provide the education to our schools and community of the San Fernando Valley.
• $2,500 to POPP @ ARTC - The objective of the Police Orientation and Preparation Program, a semester study program at the Ahmanson Recruit Training Center (POPP@ARTC), is to provide highly motivated and disciplined students, who are interested in law enforcement as a career, an opportunity to simulate the experiences of an LAPD recruit. This specially designed course of study offers these students unparalleled access to LAPD and, since they will acquire both high school and community college credits, a solid launch into academia.
